FAQs
General Definitions

A Sourcing Company or a sourcing agent is responsible to find suppliers for products of a certain quality or attributes and being price competitive. A sourcing company is different from a factory or a subcontractor. A sourcing company supports a customer in purchasing their required products which have met rigorous quality testing and meets the highest quality standards.

Effectively-Managed Process

The process of sourcing the right supplier, conducting QA for the samples, conducting factory audit and to the final delivery of the finished goods to the clients. Is all catered to and managed by the sourcing company.

High-Quality Products

Experienced global sourcing companies such as Thailand Sourcing Services have a strong network of trusted local partners/ suppliers who are able to ensure every aspect of quality control has been covered. Despite the lower cost of sourcing from overseas, there will never be any compromise on quality.

Greater Capacity for Production

Sourcing is usually done from low-cost locations such as India and the Asia – Pacific Region (APAC), a company can take advantage of their highly-developed manufacturing infrastructure. This infrastructure allows for the very quick creation of any number of products in very large volumes. Turning to low-cost countries for products also allows products to be manufactured at several sources, which multiplies their capacity for production.

Development of New Products

Low cost countries offer a golden opportunity for product innovation on a large scale, and at a fraction of the cost. Combined with the fact that it is just as cheap to develop products overseas as it is to manufacture them, this can mean companies can gain the innovative edge at a much faster rate than their competitors.

Reduced Supply Chain Costs

Majority of developed countries and the businesses in these countries  send and receive parts and products all around the country and the expenses can add up as quickly as the miles. Even then, these pieces have to be stored in warehouses until they are shipped again to the next customer. With the help of a sourcing company, you can cut down on your Supply Chain Costs by having the required quantity of goods shipped to your required destination as and when the requirement arises. There is no requirement to maintain a large surplus inventory.

In simple terms the difference between white labelling and private labelling is to specify as to what the product or the service will contain.

White label products are where a retailer hires a third party manufacturer to manufacture the products under the retailer’s brand name, As a buyer the retailer only specify what the label looks like. But whereas the manufacturer decides what goes into the manufacturing of the product i.e. its ingredients and packaging. Leaving the label to be decided by the retailer.

Private label products are manufactured by a contract or third party manufacturer and sold under the retailer’s brand name, but here the catch is as a buyer/ retailer specify everything from the ingredients and the label of the product to its packaging. Basically the retailer pay to have it produced and then it’s up to the retailer where the product would be sold either to the wholesalers or directly to the end customers.

The Manufactured branded products as it suggests is produced by the manufacturers  under their own brand name, manufacturer produces the product and bear all the expenses related to the product, the manufacturer also has to manage the long distribution channels to distribute their product which would ultimately reach their target customers.

Drop shipping is a part of e-commerce where the products are sold on an online store and the merchandise moves directly from the wholesaler to the final customer, the store owners in dropshipping does not have to maintain stocks instead they directly purchased from a third party supplier it requires to work closely with the suppliers and ensure seamless supply chain.

Yes, we as TSS do provide the facility and service of drop shipping but this we usually do for larger quantity orders where we provide our clients with all the basic facilities of procurement outsourcing (Vendor development, inventory management,  freight, etc.)
